Bhubaneswar: On Sunday, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed that the newly introduced tax reforms prioritize the needs of the populace in governance.
He remarked, "Odisha extends its sincere thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this forward-thinking and transformative reform that genuinely centers on the people."
This statement followed Prime Minister Modi's announcement of a "GST savings festival" set to commence on the first day of 'Navratri' Monday, which, along with income tax exemptions, he described as a "double bonanza" for many citizens.
"Starting tomorrow, India will embark on a new chapter of taxation that is simpler, fairer, and more transparent. These reforms aim to ease compliance, empower MSMEs, generate employment, enhance consumption, and support Swadeshi initiatives, ultimately benefiting citizens and fortifying the nation's economy," Majhi conveyed in a post on X.
From tomorrow, India enters a new era of simpler, fairer, and more transparent taxation.
